AGILITY CLASSES WITH DOGZ
START IN MAY!

Agility is a sport where dogs manoeuvre through a timed obstacle course consisting of jumps, ramps, weave poles and tunnels with the guidance of their handler (so they do them in the right order!)

Similar to equestrian show jumping, it reflects a combination of desire, control, athletics and team spirit. It not only provides a lot of fun and exercise, but it also strengthens the bond between the dog and the handler.

DOGZ AGILITY CLASSES...

Our Agility program offers classes from absolute beginner up to Masters level, depending on where you and your dog fit best. If you have a dog with basic obedience skills like sit, down, stay and come, you're ready to try Agility!

All our classes are open to any well-socialised dog, purebred or mixed breed, big or small, young or old. You most certainly CAN teach an old dog, new tricks!

Lessons run in 8-week sessions, and have a maximum of 5 dog/handler teams - this ensures lots of individual attention and practice time on the equipment. Classes run weeknights and Saturdays throughout the year, and we try to book times according to what works best for you.

We use the operant conditioning method of training - including use of the clicker - for all class levels. Using positive reinforcement (e.g. praise, food and toys) encourages your dog, helps them focus, and lets them know when they have done a good job. We don't use force - we'll teach you how to motivate your dog to work with you!
